Element DS
The Element DS’s design utilizes an innovative 3rd carbon composite spring that supports the foot in each phase of the gait cycle. From heel strike, to mid-stance and toe off; the result is a foot with unsurpassed smoothness, stability and energy return.
Other composite foot designs have hesitation at midstance due to a delay in the center of pressure in the transition from heel to toe. Commonly referred to as a “dead spot”; it is inherent in other designs due to the loss of dynamic support as one or a series of stiff carbon is loaded. The Element’s patent pending design eliminates this dead spot by allowing the upper spring to load the 3rd Element carbon spring at midstance. This enables the foot to release its energy in the latter part of the gait cycle and move the area of stability forward in the foot. The Element DS combines smooth rollover with stability in the forefoot to enable even stride lengths and a more symmetrical gait.
