Dynamic Walk Series

The Dynamic Walk AFO is designed to allow people with dorsiflexor paresis or paralysis to confidently regain their stride. Whether their goal is to walk, hike, jog, or play, the Dynamic Walk’s flexible dorsi-assist joints allow them to move freely. Featuring a heat-moldable, trimmable calf band and foot plate, the Dynamic Walk ensures a comfortable fit every time. Dynamic Walk – Standard is designed for the typical dropfoot patient with one PEEK rod on each side of the orthosis giving forefoot lift and lateral stability.

Dynamic Walk Wide Ankle is based on our Standard orthosis but offers a greater distance in between PEEK rods to fit the wider built ankles.The measurement is taken at the distal end of the PEEK insertion.

Dynamic Walk Double Double offers the patient extra dorsal assist by using double PEEK rods on both the medial and lateral side of the orthosis. It is made with the standard carbon fiber lay up ona wide ankle mold and does not require a plaster or cast.

Dynamic Walk Wide Double – Double offers the patient extra dorsal assist by using double PEEK rods on both the medial and lateral side of the orthosis. It also offers a greater distance in between PEEK rods to fit the wider built ankles.

Dynamic Walk – Mix & Match enables you to choose different sizes for the foot plate and the calf band. The height of the orthoses is determined by the model and the size of the calf band.

The Mix & Match option is available for Standard, Wide Ankle, Double-Double, and Single Side orthoses.

Dynamic Walk – Custom Calf Height or Foot Length is the last step before the orthosis becomes completely custom. It is possible to increase or decrease the length of the foot plate or the height of the orthosis within limitations determined by model and size. See size chart (under resources).

The Custom Dynamic Walk is recommended for patients who need to accommodate the unique shape of their foot and leg and/or specific functional needs. Whether requiring greater toe lift or unique sizing, including pediatric sizing, Fillauer’s Custom Dynamic Walk will be created to suit your patients’ clinical needs.

The Dynamic Walk – Single Side Anterior is a dynamic neutral alignment AFO. It is made of a lightweight thermoformable carbon fiber composite and PEEK rods that provides high strength and flexibility. This combination allows its user to have a higher range of motion together with a stable control of the ankle-foot joint.

Dynamic Walk – Shoe Mount is a single side orthosis fabricated for permanent attachment on either medial or lateral side of the shoe. The foot plate is completely flat and ends proximally to the MTP joint. CPO’s can mount the orthosis themselves or send the shoes to Fillauer for assembly.

The Dynamic Walk Modular is an extension device that adds all the features and benefits of the Dynamic Walk to any knee orthosis. The Dynamic Walk Modular prevents distal migration of the knee orthosis while also providing some “toe pick-up” to allow for better ground clearance.

Dynamic walk modular is available in straight or dorsi-assist versions. The straight version is positioned at 10 degrees of dorsiflexion to compensate for the weight of the foot to still provide lift.
