Meet Amy Ginsburg: Fillauer’s New Clinical Educator
We are excited to welcome Amy Ginsburg to our US education team! Amy brings a wealth of experience in biology, education, and prosthetics. Amy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Secondary Education from the University of St. Thomas. Following college, she taught freshman biology then worked as an outdoor educator on Catalina Island for students in grades 5-12. After teaching for three years, Amy returned to school at California State Dominguez Hills in their prosthetic certification program. It was a way for her to mesh science, art, creativity, and to help people.
She worked in California for 12 years where she also created an amputee surfing group. Amy then moved to Denver to work as an upper extremity specialist for four years. She is a certified prosthetist orthotist through the American Board for Certification. In addition to specializing in pediatrics, Amy has experience working with high-level athletes and she is passionate about maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She contributes to helping her patients do the same.
During her free time, she enjoys surfing, paddleboarding, hiking, Muay Thai, biking, and playing any type of sports.
