L’il EZ Infant Hand

The L’il E-Z is the first product to be successfully developed and manufactured under a cooperative agreement between Los Amigos Research and Education Institute (LAREI) (Rancho Los Amigos) and Fillauer TRS Inc. It’s designed to be a child’s first functional, anatomically correct prosthetic hand. L’il E-Zs have unique, self-energizing grasping mechanical components, molded inside a soft flexible polymer body. Life-like, molded anatomical features balance the device aesthetics with function, no glove required. The thumb opens easily to allow for an object to be inserted and held but resists easy object release. This makes it useful for crawling and bilateral control as well as unilateral manipulation. Recommended for trans-radial and trans-humeral infants 6-months to 24-months old. We recommend the TRS Infant wrist made specifically for the L’il E-Z hand. No cabling.
