ETD with Multi-Flex Wrist

The Motion Control ETD (Electric Terminal Device) is rugged, functional and water resistant. For high durability and high speed, a brushless DC motor is used. The ETD is the preferred choice of thousands of users. The MC ETD can be used with the Utah Arm, Motion Arm or ProControl 2 system. The device comes in Motor Direct (no controller, one must be located up-stream) or ProPlus which features a controller inside the ETD allowing interchange with other manufacturers’ systems. Finger material choices include standard aluminum, black anodized, or titanium for extra strength. Force Limiting Autograsp (FLAG) for regulated pinch force is also available. The Multi-Flex Wrist for the ETD moves in multiple directions and is spring loaded to the center of travel. The spring loaded centering provides a “natural” feel as the Wrist can flex in any direction as needed to adjust to the loads placed on it, and provides a more comfortable feel versus a rigid wrist. It locks at 30, 0 and -30 degrees of extension. The manual latch mechanism enables or disables the latch. When the latch is enabled, the Wrist is locked in flexion/extension, compliant in radial/ulnar deviation. When the latch is disabled, the wrist is unlocked and compliant in all directions. PDAC Approved. This item includes the ETD and a Multi-Flex Wrist with configuration options.
